Phoenix – European Pharmacist Meeting Amsterdam
European Pharmacists’ Meeting in the Port of Amsterdam
Approximately 300 pharmacists from 13 cooperation programmes spanning 16 countries were invited to a three-day conference of the PHOENIX group’s comprehensive European pharmacist network, where they were asked to use new thinking, fresh ideas and plenty of energy to sustainably align the European networks for the future. Setting sail for the future – a fitting motto for an event in a traditional harbour city – combined with a great look and feel: the harbour became the leitmotif of the conference.
The exhibition, workshops and plenary session were planned and held at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, an iconic building situated in the harbour that is still in operation today; the evening event was held at Het Scheepvaartmuseum, Amsterdam’s venerable historical maritime museum, and shuttles were also provided by boat wherever possible.
And with that, a fresh, energetic wind, the openness and freedom of thought that characterise Amsterdam (and every port) were indeed the nucleus of a strikingly dynamic conference – thereby capturing precisely this atmosphere and making it our own at the event was a wonderful and rewarding, successful task for us.
