The m:con fam-trips
Welcome to the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region

With our fam-trips in 2010, we would once again like to provide you the opportunity of learning more about m:con, Rosengarten Mannheim and the diversity of the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. At the same time, our fam-trips will give you the opportunity to see how we think through and implement the entire concept. From the invitation to the organisation and the post-processing, the internal connection of knowledge transfer and framework programme of the m:con fam-trips always follows the same comprehensive concept. Convince yourself - we're looking forward to your participation.

In order to give you a better idea of what to expect, we've assembled various impressions from past fam-trips and would like to share those with you here.

m:con Fashion show

On 25 June, m:con brought the glamour and flair of large-scale fashion shows to Rosengarten. Under the headline "Sunset Boulevard", the Mannheim designer Eduard Howhannisjan presented "glam-rock" style fashion to go along with gala, business and beachwear fashions from his latest collection.

The evening was moderated by Peyman Amin , the former jury member of "Germanys Next Top Model". The runway star on this evening was Hana Nitsche, one the three finalist of the 2007 show. Classy accessories from select design shops in Mannheim such as Swarowski allowed the haute couture of the Armenian-born Howhannisjan to shine. The aftershow party offered plenty of opportunity to celebrate with the newcomer band "Bullmeister" and the exquisite catering supplied by the Dorint Congress Hotel . (Photography: www.yerlikaya.de)

m:con goes Golf 2010

m:con goes Golf! On 31 July, m:con cordially invites you to participate in a benefit golf tournament on the course of the golf club in St Leon-Rot. Even beginners are welcome. If you'd like, you can join a trial course and can gain some initial golfing experience. 

Two famous patrons have agreed to support the event: the actor and the police inspector from the German TV series "Tatort", Klaus J. Behrendt and the trainer of the Mannheim Adler DEL ice hockey team, Harold Kreis. All profits and entry fees, participation fees or additional donations will go to a research project led by Professor Dr. Horst Schroten and PD Dr. Matthias Dürken at the Children's University Hospital in Mannheim that deals with neuroblastoma, a form of cancer that mainly afflicts children.

m:con goes Golf 2009

After taking the first independent steps and receiving positive feedback from our m:com goes Golf fam-trips in 2007 and 2008, we hosted this year's event - in a larger scope and in cooperation with the Heart Attack Association (Schlaganfallgesellschaft e.V.) - the "m:con goes Golf - Golf Tournament Heart Attack 2009".

All profits from entry fees or additional donations benefited heart attack research in Heidelberg. The funds were used to support the continuing efforts of Professor Dr. Hacke and his team in the heart attack research prevention at the Neurological University Clinic Heidelberg.

m:con goes Golf 2008

After the success of the first fam-trip m:con goes Golf 2007 as well as the positive feedback received, m:con goes Golf was installed as an annually recurring event within the m:con fam-trips. In 2008, we kicked-off with a gala event hosted at Rosengarten which was followed by the golf tournament in St Leon-Rot that began on the following day. Even "not quite yet" golfers had the opportunity to join a training course.

m:con Crime scene wine 2008

Probably the most exclusive construction site tour took place during a fam-trip to the crime scene wine. In the midst of the construction site of the refurbished Pfalzbau Ludwigshafen , we staged a bloodthirsty "crime" dinner for our guests. Following the nerve-wracking enjoyment for all the senses, we were able to escape into the Pfalz wineries and assisted with the grape harvest as well as, of course, enjoyed the culinary specialties of the region, namely Flammkuchen and Pfalz wine.

m:con Wine & culture event 2009

In October 2009 our unique wine and cultural weekend took place; we enjoyed exceptional days in Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and in the Pfalz.
